Lansdowne Sanitary Sewer Rate Increase
Metro East Sanitary District has not issued a rate increase since 2019. Due to rising cost of sanitary sewer treatment by the Granite City Waste Water Treatment Board and maintenance cost, the Metro East Sanitary District board performed a rate study. The study reviewed many factors and concluded that a minimum rate increase was required. Beginning September 1, 2022 water used will be billed at the new rate. Generally, Metro East Sanitary District bills for sanitary treatment cost one month behind the usage, this means your September water usage will be on your October Metro East Sanitary District billing statement.
